introducing route 47 grain terminal
We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a multi-year agreement with the Hamman Family for the grain facility located at the intersection of Route 47 and Route 52 in Newark, Illinois. We plan to open the facility on Monday, October 9, 2017.
The facility will handle corn and soybeans for container export. The facility is capable of loading 10,000 bushels per hour, and has a storage capacity of roughly 1.1 Million bushels. We expect to load containers year around at our new “Route 47 Container Terminal.”
We are always looking for strategic investments that add value for our farmer-owners and are excited with the addition of this facility and the opportunities it brings to our producers. The facility will give our patrons access to an another important market, allowing us to provide more competitive bids when container opportunities are viable.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
As always, thank you for your continued business with CHS Elburn
